shinfaxSeattle (Saylac.com)-We all know how useful Somali tradition treatment are. And we also know how controversial they can be. There were  days, when Somaliland  tradition treatment were easy to get in Somaliland. To have one local Somali medicine man was the dream of Somali society in general on wherever and whenever you may get your daily local dose from the root of the surrounding trees in your village. “Surely, that freedom scarcely to find nowadays” said Halimo Abdilahi, one of the Somaliland resident in Borama who expressed her  concerns to saylac.com.
coal“Looking for a formal doctors with the long trip and costs has been replaced the easy to find local medicine man” she added. that’s right, that’s what a Somali traditional treatment is all about in these days. And that is why it is the preferred medical treatment in Somalia rather then a regular medical providers . After all, let me mention some of those Somali traditional treatment and their  diagnosis usages:

1) Tiiro: is  special kind of tree that cures the back pain with anti biotic elements  in it. Tiiro commonly used for the upper back pain to low back pain with sciatica. It also used for nerve and muscular problems. one of the Borama Doctors told saylac.com that Tiiro is equivalent to Lioresal (baclofen) which relieves more severe back pain, Muscle relaxant  with pain killer in it.

2) Woob: This Somali tradition medicine is used as anti biotic for open wounds due forceful injury to the body, it prevent cuts or open wounds from bacterial infections.

3)Caws-dameer: Another important Somali traditional medicine, this one is used for urinary tract problems such as burning, blood in urine, Urinary incontinence etc.

4) Salamaki: The Salamaki is commonly used for constipation due digestive disorders.
it usually added with class of Somali Tea and wait for not more then ten minutes then you have be close to the Restroom to get job done!!.

5)Dabayood: This rich medicine is used for mother right after she gets a new baby. it is like green leaf that can be cooked for the mother to drink so it may ease the urine burning and also preventing bacterial infections at Urinary system. it widely used in Somaliland.

So, isn’t it clear the richness of Somali traditional treatment. Now, if only there was some way to prevent those important Trees all over the Somaliland from cutting for commercial Coal purposes ! Well, Then we could be able someday to make research  to those trees and put into our laps to make them highly international recognized medicine break-through.

Our next short glance of Somali traditional treatments, we will discuss more Somali medicines including: Calaydhiyi,Malmal,Shinxaf,Xabakad,Qarari,Gagabood,Mayeer,Samafara, and Kudan.
